this {humble} home.

Hi there friends! It's been such a fun and busy week but I am so excited to share with you a new edition of This {Humble} Home. Our bedroom is lacking some major art on the walls and a headboard. I'm looking for something really specific and have yet to find it, so I wanted a cute and simple temporary solution.

Enter the lovely and talented Rachel Denbow. She posted a cute tissue paper flower tutorial a few weeks back and I knew I had to do it. I set in search of the perfect color scheme and spent an afternoon making and hanging them over the bed.

Needless to say, I love, love the way they turned out. What do you think? I was going for a sunrise/sunset color scheme and strung them at different heights on fishing line over the bed. Rachel used a purely monochromatic scheme, but I got a little funky adding pinks and yellows into the mix and stacking the blues in different orders.

I like waking up in the morning and staring right up into the flowers. My own personal sunrise. I totally recommend her tutorial to add a little cuteness to your space. It instantly brightened mine and is perfect temporary art until I find the perfect headboard.

I hope you enjoyed my little project, kittens. I'll see you later this week for a little peek at the adventures my sister-in-law and I have been getting into on her visit and a super cute {flea} on Sunday!

There's still lots of goodies available in The 60/40 Pop-Up Summer Shop too! Be sure to click, check it out or pass it along to your friends. xo.

super pretty! My mom used to spend rainy afternoons with us making bouquets of these things!
