the winter cold.

So I have a full on cold; you know the kind where you touch your skin and it hurts? Ya, that kind. So I've been lazily laying on the couch, knitting away on my Mara shawl by Madelinetosh.

via madelinetosh : pattern via ravelry

Isn't it purrrdy? I'm using some Cascade heathered yarn in a pretty sherbet color. This project is so flippin' simple too; if you're headed out on a trip or need something to work on during that movie marathon; this is it. I started mine on my way home for the holidays and it's coming along swimmingly.

I also have plenty of tea, vitamins, a dvr marathon and some laundry lined up. A truly exciting day. What are your plans? What are you knitting on? I'll post pictures of my Mara as soon as I can drag my butt off the couch.
Time for some echinacea and a nap! See you tomorow.

I just realized what your "leave a comment" personal message was... And then I thought back and tried to remember when it was that Voldemort ate a Unicorn... And then I remembered it was really early on, because he was weak and.... then I realized that I am such a super geek!

I love the shawl! It looks very cozy and elegant at the same time. Can't wait to see it!

Sorry about your cold! If you aren't too bleary, they are a great time to get a lot of knitting done! Am currently knitting a lacy cowl, not sure about it yet. I'll post it, of course, if it comes out nicely. Drink lots of tea and take care of yourself!
