Something's Hiding in Here is one of my favorite Etsy shops; owners Shauna and Stephen are some insanely talented people. I stumbled across their Flickr photostream and pictures of their loft. You know what's about to be hiding in there? Me!
I'm not even green with envy of their space; I'm inspired. I can't even say anything half intelligent about what I think about their design asthetic or decor because I'm too busy drooling. Part of me does want to seriously stalk them. Is that bad? I don't think they would mind if I showed up with muffins or something yummy. "Hey Shauna, hey Stephen...uh, we've never met but I'm gonna need to spend the night, ok?" Can you tell how crazy I've gone over their space? They've inspired me to look for our own unique space for our big move. I'll let their loft speak for itself and attempt some written verse that can do the photos justice.
Um, hello there globe collection; those shelves are mighty pretty too (and built by them).
Do you think I could add a glass top like this to my Army box? I may try. I can't get over the color of their floors either.
Who doesn't want a swing in their house? Their bold color choices really make me smile; I bet it's hard to get upset or angry in their house. I also love the dresser, it's painted navy in other photos, but the bare wood is so refreshing. Is it just me or does it look like some of the drawer fronts are stained slightly darker?
It never ceases to amaze me what people do with everyday items like concrete blocks and clipboards.
Their now infamous fawn headboard. I wish I had the ability to mix and match sheets like this too. When I do it always looks like I was just lazy.
Painted wood floor, I want to hear your opinion on this. What do you think?

This is their bathroom. Their bathroom. Who has faux bois in their bathroom? They did a tutorial for this in ReadyMade magazine and I can't find it anywhere. I loooove me some faux bois.
There is one more thing and if you don't click the play button below, you'll always wonder why you didn't. Shauna and Stephen's home was featured on Etsy's series There's No Place Like Here. Here's why you must watch this video. Number one, it'll be four of the best minutes ever. Number two, you'll know why I love their home so much. These photos are gorgeous, but they're decor shots. In the video you get a sense of the grandness and composition of the space. The light seriously blows me away.
I'm a sucker for old homes and unique spaces, but what really draws me in is the way the rooms are set up and how the owner uses the space to create flow. For such an open floor plan, their home feels like a cozy cottage. I want to sit on their swing, sip tea and watch the sun come through those huge windows and scatter across the honey floors (sooo...see you two next week?).
I really hope you enjoy the video and post as much as I have. I've seriously watched it once a day since I discovered it. PS. Can you believe they're renters?

I watched the video of them a while back, and the whole time I was whining to myself "Why didn't I think of that?" over and over again. Their space is so amazing! All of the little details are astounding!
I just hope to live in a home someday which is as beautiful as this one. Wow, everything in this house is worth looking at for a long time. Thanks for the upload.
Have a good day!:)
"You know what's about to be hiding in there? Me!" BAHAHAHA that kills me.
So, this is the second time I've come back to look at this post because I, too, am absolutely in love with this space! I've never even heard of them before! Great find, girl!
That's it... I'm putting a swing in my house! Where, though? Hmmm, I think I have an idea!
Ok, this is probably the thing that speaks to me the most for office inspiration :) Let's brainstorm! And build funky bookshelves! And find cheap wood flooring?! LOL
